We recognize that adversarial relationships often drain the good will to solve society’s problems. The challenge for America’s future is whether we can successfully bring diverse views together in a way that will design policies and implement programs that provide a better quality of life for the American people as a whole, not just for the elite and privileged. TAIPD is committed to creating activities that promote dialogue utilizing intellectual and commonsense contributions from community leaders, experts, and political decision-makers for the purpose of developing specific public policies than embrace commonwealth democratic principles.
To that end, the engagement of collaborative partners, who join us in dialogue and assist in pursuing the design and adoption of these policies, helps to ensure that progressive new programs will become integrated into the lives and culture of the American people. Thus we hope to make our motto a reality through how we function: Engaging Thought - Promoting Action. Our goal is to facilitate sustainable and practical public policy solutions by forging political consensus and developing action plans to aid others in the implementation of progressive democratic solutions to diverse problems.
In this effort, we hope to learn not just from the American experience, but also from the experience of other nations. We recognize that many of the problems facing the American people are at their core international, indeed global, in nature. We recognize that Americans can learn from the peoples of the world, as well as strive to be a model to the world. Ultimately the American people must join with those of other nations to address many of the most serious problems confronting us all, not least among them being the issues of climate change, the environment and the production of energy, as well as the issues of emigration and immigration, terrorism, social justice, and peace. Hence, our focus is both American and internationalist.
This is what TAIPD is all about. We invite you to join us in our efforts.
